Restaurant Al Gusto in Wismar

Accidentally discovered in transit. Super friendly service, clean, bright. Even a glass of wine for lunch was appropriately recommended by the attentive waiter. The great contrast to Grabow! Always my pleasure.

I was on 10/30 with my girls there. We celebrated my 25th birthday. We had reservations. The drinks were picked up very quickly and the orders were back with us very quickly. The same thing happened with the food, we had ordered starters. Once the cheese platter and the bruscetta. You definitely have to try it. We were very excited about it. My main course was turkey with saffron rice and a glass of honey. The combination of the honey and the very tender meat was one of the best I've ever eaten. The rice also had a very good flavor. The other 3 were also very excited about their dishes. For dessert there were different pieces of cake, very tasty and tender cakes are not available everywhere. My favorite was the cheesecake with the caramel. Big thanks and praise to the boss. The staff wore the mask the whole time. The waiter and the boss himself went around and regularly asked if everything was good or if you could still do something good for us. We are more than thrilled, we always like to come to you.

We went to Al Gusto for dinner and can draw a positive conclusion. The pizzas were very good in taste and served well. The waiter did a good job and came across well. The inconsistencies at the next table were resolved by the boss with ease, respect!

The boss, who is also the cook, personally takes care of the well-being of his guests. Here you have the opportunity to express yourself if something is wrong. Service was quick, but the food was underground. For a long time I haven't eaten such bad pasta. Onion and garlic raw tomatoes lala and pasta half cold. Tasted like tomato salad on pasta and it was too salty. Price performance very bad. Like to go to the Italian restaurant, but definitely never again here.

Never experienced such rude service. We were literally adapted. When I asked if I could use one of the vacant chairs for my bag, I was asked what the stupid question was about. My companion was forced to take a look at the kitchen after she said the food wasn't that good. An incredibly unpleasant visit. The pasta was OK but nothing special. I also saw a customer leave and the owner called after her "finally you go". None of the employees wore a mask. Definitely an experience, not a good one.

Not recommendable. Ambience is okay, but too many Italian flags seem suspicious. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste Italian. The food comes in either small, non-filling or oversized portions. Ketchup and bruschetta not possible. Personnel seems uncoordinated. The only positive thing is that the kitchen is open quite late. If you want to eat in Wismar, go somewhere else. At Al Gusto, pizza is still the most bearable thing.

A pleasant, friendly restaurant that we would never have entered without the dedicated service. From the outside it looked like nothing was empty at the time we were looking for a restaurant. - That changed during our visit. The food was good, the salmon with capers, olives, rocket, tomatoes and warm potato salad surprising and good. So is the wine. All in all, a restaurant that is recommended for further visits. Gladly again.

I have never eaten such bad Italian dishes! Tomato soup was noodle sauce, tortellini was a real nightmare. All no taste. Ready-made dishes from Aldi taste better. Never again. These good reviews probably write this place to owners.

Long time not eaten so well! Everything was delicious and freshly prepared - even the noodles are homemade. So far I found the spinach gnocchi the best. We will be back definitely. PS: You should definitely try the mango ice cream!

We were at Al Gusto with a dozen people. The service, the drinks and above all the super fresh and homemade food, from pasta to pizza dough, were perfect! Thank you for a lovely evening, which ended with the delicious, homemade lemon schnapps.

Waited 5 minutes at the entrance without anyone showing up. In the back row the chairs were still on the table. Not very cozy. Didn't just want to sit down outside, so the tables would have to be re-disinfected if a reservation for other guests had already been made. Waiter greeted us rudely. The waiter was standing close to the table with a mask under his nose and I asked him to put the mask over it. He pointed out harshly that he could choose this himself. This may be, we didn't feel very comfortable ... even if the high prices, the rudeness and bad reviews. We left the restaurant (or the outside area) after his explanations regarding the mask, without ordering. It would have taken minimal effort to make a guest feel better. The restaurant doesn't seem to be dependent on us. I think you can tell from the unfriendly comments on the reviews how we fared.

Authentic Italian cuisine. Good advice and flexibility, deviating from the map. Boss is a great guy. To recommend.

No service, the staff was very friendly at all. And we waited for the food to arrive for exactly one hour and finally we left. Unacceptable. the food we had ordered was a daisy pizza and a pasta with seafood.again unacceptable shop.

Were eating spontaneously at the Italian and can't understand some bad reviews .. It is a little more expensive and you have to wait a bit, but it is justified ... The location is cozy and perfect for a cozy evening .. Always happy.

Excellent wine and cheese platter

Came in for the inevitable pizza. What a great unusual experience. Almost no menu to choose from and was delighted by a four course meal for Eur 25. Super ambient and delicious non pretentious food. Will be back!
